Company Notifications
Overview
Company notifications allow administrators to broadcast important messages to all team members within the company. These notifications appear as banners across the platform, ensuring your team stays informed about important updates, maintenance schedules, or announcements.
Note: Only users with an Admin role can create and manage company notifications.
Creating a Notification
To create a company notification:
- Navigate to Company → Notifications in the sidebar
- Click the button to create a new notification
- Fill in the notification details:
- Title: A short, descriptive heading
- Message: The full notification content
- Type: Select the notification category
- Priority: Set the urgency level
- Optionally configure scheduling and display options
- Save the notification to make it active
Notification Types
Choose a type that best describes the nature of your notification:
- Info: General information or updates (blue)
- Warning: Important warnings that require attention (yellow)
- Error: Critical issues or problems (red)
- Success: Positive updates or confirmations (green)
- Maintenance: Scheduled maintenance or downtime notices (purple)
Priority Levels
Set the priority to control how prominently the notification is displayed:
- Low: Standard visibility
- Medium: Moderate prominence
- High: Increased visibility for important messages
- Critical: Maximum prominence for urgent notifications
Scheduling
Company notifications support optional scheduling:
- Start Date: Set a future date for the notification to become visible
- End Date: Set an expiry date after which the notification is automatically hidden
- Always Active: Leave dates empty to show the notification indefinitely until manually deactivated
Tip: Use scheduling for planned maintenance windows or time-limited announcements so you don't have to remember to remove them manually.
Display Options
Notifications can be configured to display in different ways:
- Banner: Shown as a dismissible banner at the top of dashboard pages
- Toast: Shown as a brief popup notification
Team members can dismiss banners, and their dismissal preference is remembered in their browser so the same notification does not reappear.
Managing Notifications
The Company Notifications management page shows a table of all notifications with their status, type, priority, and scheduling information. From this page you can:
- View all active and scheduled notifications
- Edit existing notifications
- Deactivate notifications that are no longer needed
- Delete notifications permanently
