Vouchers & Gift Cards

Digital rewards are delivered by email — no carrier, no parcel. Donaraz supports your own voucher codes and, with a connected Shopify store, real Shopify gift cards.

Voucher codes

1. Create a gift product with gift type Voucher / Gift card.
2. Upload your codes with a CSV (one unique code per row) — see CSV Uploads.
3. On the promotion choose reward mode Product+, answer No — digital rewards only for physical gifts, and link the voucher gift.

When you approve a claim, one unused code is booked for that claim and emailed to the claimant with the voucher email template. Keep an eye on the number of remaining codes during the campaign.

Send now or later

When approving (single or bulk) you can choose Skip voucher email. The code is booked, but the email isn’t sent yet — handy when codes may only be used from a certain date. Send it later from the claim.

Shopify gift cards

With a Shopify store connected, a digital promotion can mint a real Shopify gift card per approved claim:

1. On the promotion, turn on Generate gift cards in Shopify on approve.
2. Set the Value per gift card.
3. Approve claims — each gets a new Shopify gift card and an email with the code.

Donaraz manages one gift-card product per face value in your store: promotions with the same value share it, a different value gets its own. The gift cards appear in Shopify under Gift cards like any other.

Voucher plus cashback

With Mixed gift, a claimant can get a voucher and cashback on one claim. They receive two separate emails: one with the code and a cashback notice. See Cashback Payouts.

Customise the emails

The voucher and gift card emails can be changed per language and per promotion. Use the merge tags {{giftCardCode}}, {{giftCodes}} or {{giftCodesHtml}} to place the code. See Email Templates.

Tip: Resend a lost code from the claim instead of sending it by hand — the timeline then shows exactly when and to whom it went.
