Running a Giveaway
Open signup, review eligibility, draw winners and redraw backups.
A giveaway lets anyone sign up during the promotion period. After signup closes (or whenever you like) you check who is eligible, draw winners and fulfil prizes only for them.
How a giveaway works
- Create a promotion with reward mode Giveaway and set the Number of winners.
- Collect entries. The public page uses the normal claim form; add a serial or proof field only if entry requires a purchase.
- Review eligibility. In Requests, approve entries that meet the rules and decline the rest. Approving a giveaway entry only marks it eligible — no gift, label or email with a prize is sent yet.
- Draw winners. On the promotion detail page open the draw panel and press Draw winners. Donaraz picks the set number at random from the eligible entries.
- Fulfil. Winners get the status Winner; everyone else who was eligible becomes Not selected. Create labels or send rewards for the winners only.
Statuses in a giveaway

| Approved | Eligible for the draw, not a winner (yet). |
| Winner | Drawn in the main or backup draw. Fulfil this one. |
| Not selected | Eligible but not drawn. Can still be picked in a backup draw. |
| Declined | Not eligible or disqualified. |
Claimants see matching messages on their status page: eligible, winner or not selected.
Backup draws
A winner doesn’t respond, or turns out to be ineligible? Run a backup draw. You can replace a specific winner — they are disqualified and a new winner is drawn from the Not selected pool — without redoing the whole draw.
Stock and fulfilment
- Gift stock is only booked when you fulfil a winner, so a large entry pool never “uses up” your inventory.
- Physical prizes use your carrier like any other claim — see Labels & Tracking.
- Digital prizes (vouchers, gift cards) are sent when you fulfil the winner.
Tip: Publish clear giveaway terms: entry period, eligibility, number of prizes, how and when winners are drawn and contacted. Upload them under Content & legal on the promotion.
