AI Connections (MCP)

Donaraz has a built-in MCP server (Model Context Protocol). Connect Claude, Cursor or another MCP-compatible AI assistant and ask it for reports, look up promotions and claims, or act on claims — within permissions you choose.

Plan: AI Connections require a paid Donaraz plan. This is checked on every request.

Create a connection

1. Go to Settings → AI Connections and create a connection.
2. Give it a name (for example Claude — Marketing team) and choose its scopes:

claims:read	Searching claims and reading claim details
claims:write	Declining, holding or releasing claims and adding notes
claims:approve	Approving claims — off by default, see below

3. Copy the token. It’s shown once; store it safely.
4. Paste the ready-made configuration into your AI client (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, …).

What you can ask

• “Give me the dashboard report for this month” — returns an interactive card with your KPIs.
• “How is the summer promotion doing?” — claim breakdown and stock for one promotion.
• “Find claims from [email protected]” or “show claims waiting for review”.
• “Put claim 1234 on hold, the photo is unreadable” — with claims:write.

Approving claims safely

Approving a claim has real consequences — a label, stock, an email — so it has three separate safeguards:

1. The connection needs the claims:approve scope, which you must turn on explicitly.
2. The claim must be To review with auto-check Good (a validated serial). There’s no override.
3. The assistant first shows you a preview and only approves after you confirm.

Manage and revoke

The AI Connections page lists every connection: who created it, when, its scopes and when it was last used. Remove access revokes a token immediately. Create separate connections per person or tool, so you can revoke one without affecting the others.

Note: Shopify’s own assistant, Sidekick, works through the Donaraz Shopify app — not through this MCP connection.
