Serial Management

Serial numbers let Donaraz check that a claimant really bought a qualifying product. You upload the serials you sold; every claim is matched against them. See Auto-Verification for how the check works.

Upload serials

1. Open Products → Serials and choose the product.
2. Press Upload CSV and select your file. The format is described in CSV Uploads.
3. A progress dialog shows the batches being processed. When it’s done you see how many serials were created and how many duplicates were skipped.

Large files are uploaded in batches, so tens of thousands of serials are fine. Duplicates (a serial that already exists on the product) are skipped, not doubled.

What a serial carries

Field	Why it matters
Serial number	The value the claimant types. Matching ignores surrounding spaces.
SKU	Ties the serial to the right product.
Sales channel	The retailer that sold it. Used for retailer restrictions and the retailer picker.

Look up a serial

Search for a serial number to open its history: when it was uploaded, which product and retailer it belongs to, and every claim that used it — including duplicates and combined claims. This is the fastest way to answer “has this serial been used before?”

Serials that arrive later

It’s common to launch before every serial is uploaded. Claims with unknown serials are not rejected; they get auto-check Check. After uploading the missing serials, select those claims and run Recheck — see Auto-Verification.

Serial rules on the form

The claim form can also check the format of a serial before it’s submitted: minimum, maximum or fixed length, and a hint under the field (for example “The serial is on the back of the box, starting with SN”). Set these on the promotion under Claim form & serial, or as company defaults under Settings → Claim form defaults.

Tip: Show claimants where to find the serial. A short hint plus a photo on the claim page dramatically reduces typos and “serial not found” claims.
